This peddle is very cool but in a live situation I don't see a singer constantly fiddling with the knobs selecting different types of harmonies during a song. That would be very distracting...

There is a middle sized version of this that is user friendly in a live situation. Quick and easy program changes...no fiddling with knobs...tap a button...and you are set. The full blown TC Helicon is (so I've heard) not all that easy to use live. Although I work with a singer that uses his exclusively...never a problem. I don't know how much "wood shedding" he did with it before he debuted it live. It sure sounds great tho. Makes my life easy...no worrying about monitors or being the slightest bit off pitch. I can concentrate more on playing as he does all his own harmonies now.

Cry me a Reverb?...oh River, never mind then carry on.

Harmonies sound strange but I can see this and other small pedals being used here in Nashville all over the place, hell, I have seen live music in small Pizza places, Yougurt places, Ice Cream shops, Mexican restaurants, either solo artists, duets or trios.

I bet this kind of pedals are aimed for those folks, super small gig, no sound guy no ideal setting, its all you.

One time my singer buddy and the bass player spend 45 minutes trying to nail the harmonies for Cumbersome, strangely I had never heard the version of that song that has Harmonies until recently on the radio. I just turned down my guitar and drank beer for those 45 minutes....and laughed.

A polyphony from a single singer is always worse than from the several, overtones are the same, i.e. it can quickly pall, in my opinion.

Izzy, Hello! You are a good singer, I see :) . Singing with another singer (it is enough even two when different tones)is a treat not only for the audience, but also for the singers.

I think the green-haired girl has a wonderful voice.

I have the Helicon Harmonizer and it makes even the dullest songs sound so much more 'complete'.
