J.R.M.30!
Syncopation, (not always playing on the down beat). The one thing I have to learn to get better at the guitar. Rhythm was the one thing that took me longer to get better at and now what I am playing makes some kind of musical sense. Now I can finally layer riffs, licks, fills and chords. Krock is right in that your own voice is an instrument in that you can pair it up with unsyncopated harmony or vice versa. What is one thing you need to better grasp? Izzy
I use syncope a lot with piano. What I gotta work on? I can't get clear notes on guitar. Working on that by doing monochromatic scales to strengthen each finger. I'll be switching to proper scales in the summer after school is done. My chord transitions are on time but weak in grip so I get buzz..that just takes repetition. With school and work its tough getting better at guitar. Summer I'll be free to get better. rocketman
One thing? For me, there isn't. That's because there are a zillion things for me to learn yet! Music is great in that you can always learn something new, even if you are Steve Vai.
