tpbiii Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Here is a 1926 L-1 -- one of the earliest flattops in general production. These were ladder braced guitars -- in fact they were just flattop versions of earlier archtop L-1s, as you can see when the 26 L-1 is shown with the 1918 L-1. It will be interesting to see how they brace them -- there is a lot of tonal difference between the ladder braced guitars from this period and the slightly later x-braced L-0, L-1, L-2 and L-00, Let's pick, -Tom
zombywoof Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I had heard this was going to be a limited run of guitars (100 or so.) It is supposed to have an Adi top and a French Heel neck like the Keb Mo guitar.
CAMELEYE Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 So, will this be a take on the Rbt. Johnson or will there be other changes? Saw something like this locally. Had a deeper body. Not sure of the top wood. Ce
