Guest Farnsbarns
Flight959 just brought his tanglewood acoustic round after he left it a friends house for a few weeks. Can't work out what happened but it has a back bow even with the truss rod slack and a bump at the neck joint. It was so bad half the notes above the 5th were actually riging from the fret above or 2 above. He sort of dared me to get a file on it so I did. All the frets now play although there's still some buzzing. It's vastly improved so I said I'd stop there and if he takes it somewhere to have the job finished at least it plays in the mean time. I'm really pleased.

krock
About 5 frets on my squier, all around the 12th marker need sorting. I got a quote from my local music shop and they wanted £160 for a guitar that cost around that new I think I'm just going to leave it how it is for now because even though I cant play it plugged in because it barely any sustain, I can still play it acoustically. Until I learn how to do it myself I'm just going to leave it semi-retired

surfpup
Go to Stewmac. Buy Fret Buddy and a two sided fret file. Set for life.
Twang Gang
Good job to get it playing again. But what is the bigger lesson here? Don't leave your guitars laying around for a few weeks at someone elses house!!
