The G Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Martin has Chris, Taylor has Bob, Bourgeois has Dana ,and Gibson use to have Ren. All these people come to mind immediately when discussing their represented companies. I think Gibson now, and I can't put a face to the guitar. They need someone in the limelight..... What do you think?

davenumber2 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Kidding....just kidding.......... I think he is though unfortunately.
merseybeat1963 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Kidding....just kidding.......... This is Henry right..he's the soul of Gibson Id say. Thanks to him, we have a Gibson guitar that is excellent. No one is perfect but this guy gets at least a 90 Rating.
flatbaroque Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 It used to be Mad Mel....also know as "Nashville" cause he was highly strung!
QuestionMark Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Seriously, the face of Gibson (acoustics)?: Just about nearly every acoustic guitar playing Nashville legend/superstar played or plays a Gibsons...plus, most legendary rockers who played acoustics play/played Gibsons. You'll note Taylors needed to artificially create a "face of Taylors", because originally for many years they simply didn't have any guitar legends playing their guitars. Not a bad move on their part...but, Gibsons simply do not need to have a face of Gibson. Legions of legendary guitar playing performers are their natural face. But, all seriousness aside, the Mel Gibson post really was pretty funny... QM aka Jazzman Jeff
E-minor7 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 This guy - Henry or whoever - looks as if he could use a free week on the countryside with a broken in Hummingbird, , , and another kind of warm bird when not playing. . .

Martin,as they have a "Legions of legendary guitar playing performers" but still Chris Martin the IV is a visible and involved recognizable figure.

JuanCarlosVejar Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I think it's better that they are faceless at the momment ... that way the can prove (and are proving) that they can build great guitars . JC
zombywoof Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 As I recall, there are a couple of points in her favor....... I hope not - might put me off Gibsons for life.
