Don't leave it on that stand for too long unless you cover the rubber. It may be one of those that eats nitro. But, you probably already know about that.

 

BTW, does the screw on your pick guard protrude like mine?

Hey ya i won't be leaving it on the stand for any length of time, thanks. As for the screw it is very slightly raised from the pick guard.

I just had to come look at that beauty again !! [drool]

 

my old LP has the "bare spots" on the neck & body bottom from using a rubber covered stand decades ago.....no peeling around the bare spots YET, but I was CRUSHED when I saw what i'd done.

Mine was a scratch and dent one, big discount but some problems with how the pickguard was mounted. The guard looks warped at certain angles but should be an easy fix. The protruding screw was part of the problem.
