so a part of the capu goes under the strings to raise the action and then you can capu there and, boom, slide ready....

 

and it doesn't seem to damage the guitar? hmmm...

Exactly. And it apparently has two heights - one for regular slide and an adapter to raise the strings closer to "Dobro" height.
