Now they ought to rename the band the Henley/Frey and sidemen band the way its deteriorated into lawsuits and money grabbing. I have a lot of respect for some of the talented people that have passed through that band but I won't be buying anymore tickets to contribute to the pi$$ing contest.
cookieman15061 Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Yeah once Felder was shoved out I decided they got my last dime. I had the chance for some great seats to this upcoming tour but decided against it. Walsh would be the only reason to see em now and I just saw Joe solo last year.

One of the best reads ever is "Heaven and Hell" (My Life With the Eatles) by Felder. I've always liked the Eagles music, but after reading that book and watching the recent Cable special, I have no use for Frey/Henley as people. I understand the ego's of the business, etc. but c'mon... I did pay for good seats at their Honda Center show a couple of years ago, but seriously doubt I'd go see them again, especially knowing the financial arrangements of the group.

surfpup Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Maybe they will be doing some of their early stuff. IMO the older countryish material wouldn't be the same without Bernie Leadon (just as the later "rock" stuff won't be the same without Don Felder).

But yeah, other than Joe Walsh I wouldn't want to spend my money on them either at this point. I wouldn't even have known who Bernie Leadon was if I hadn't watched "The History of The Eagles".
