jt Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Tough gig last weekend: I covered the Crossroads Festival at MSG in NYC for Fretboard Journal. Only a little bit of Gibson acoustic content, and mostly Derek Trucks 1930s L-00 (about which I interviewed him). But, I thought folks my enjoy my reviews. Pics taken for me by Getty Images. One of the highlights: Day One Review. Day Two Review.
retrorod Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Nice, jt. I had no idea that the Xroads Fest was held last week. It seems earlier than past events, eh? I always get the DVD of these performances. Any idea when the DVD will be released?

trvlr Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 That is indeed a tough life you lead Mr. JT! Nice read on your article. In regards to your "Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad", for the EC fans amongst, I highly recommend this if you can find it. I gave away my vinyl copy years ago and finally found the cd version which had to ship from overseas - but it's some mighty fine listening for live music and a great version of "Why Does Love...., Got to get better in a little while, which he did on the Sandy Relief concert.
zombywoof Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Geez, nice work if you can find it. A great read JT. Thanks.

jt Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 JT!!!!!!! when U showing your FAXCE in the Bay Area???? Still working on it, Wily. As I recall, you promised to treat me to a pint (or three) when I visit. Talk about incentive! I've got a light schedule in May, appearing a couple of times around my area and then in Italy. June is packed with Bozeman, Idah Falls, and Sweden. As of now, July is just NAMM and nearby venues in Nashville. So, maybe July?

jt Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 It would be an Honor to get you two drunk!!!....lol..... While I do suspect that 3 pints would put Nick over the edge, I'm a lot tougher than that.

Jt, Nick, do you guys travel with a guitar? Robert, I travel with a guitar, and may actually ship one of my good ones out (probably L-OO Legend or '43 SJ) since I will be there so long. I have an apartment on Nob Hill this time, so you don't have to slink into a hotel room in Oakland... I'll PM you details when they are finalized.
