Source for replacement parts - Pickguard Hardware

Hey All,

I have recently bought a Broadway but it did not have a pickguard. I have found a source who will make a nice Tortoise shell guard for me. I need to find the attachment hardware. This would be the angled bracket, stand-off and screws (in Gold, of course). Any suggestions on where I could find this? I've tried eBay but I am concerned about the dimensions. Any sources?

Best Regards, Mike

Hi Mike. While my experience with working with guitars is quite very limited, I was in a similar situation like yours just very recently. And you are right to be concerned about dimensions. You see I just purchased an Epiphone 1960 Les Paul Tribute Plus. And LP Tributes don't come with pickguards. I thought since its a Les Paul, an original Gibson Les Paul replacement pickguard and bracket should work on an Epiphone Les Paul, right? I was dead wrong! I tried another website with a huge selection of Epiphone Les Paul pickguards, and again the pickguard was not a perfect match and fit, and besides the quality was much to be desired. Frustrated, I emailed Mr. Rame Eskridge of Gibson Warranty Department and asked for help. He emailed me back the part number of the pickguard that I needed for my Epiphone. Sweetwater.com then special-ordered it for me for $15.99 including S/H. Hope this helps.

Hey All,

I looked at the guitar parts resource model AP-0628-002. It looks right but I'm not sure if it is right dimensionally. I guess an email to them is worth a try.

best Regards, Mike

If you email Gubson/Epiphone, at least you will get an original part replacement, keep the value of your guitatr and know how much it (they) would cost. Good luck!
