RaysEpiphone Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Yep Azaleas, was almost freezing last night, we have seen blizzards here in April but its rare.
milod Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 We anticipate more snow this week. There's still plenty around, too. m
Tman Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 My wife planted these last winter for me because I love ice plant. outstanding, they just started blooming. She's outstanding.
Kaiser Bill Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Snow yesterday in Northern Pa...today is in the 40s.
kidblast Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 here in Central Mass, it was 27 degrees at around 4:30 a.m. this winter aint letting go...
milod Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Schools running late today with 6-12 inches of snow, depending on area. Track meet tomorrow cancelled - the second one here cancelled due to snow. There were no travel advisories and some Interstate highway closures this morning. <grin> April (snow) showers might bring May flowers. Since this is ranch country and we've been in pretty bad drought conditions, nobody's really complaining about any form of precipitation. m
CindyC Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Ahh Azaleas! How I loved them, beautiful! Yours look very healthy! Well no azaelas and definitely no snow here either! This is spring in the deep south. Mangos and Lychee time of year. We had to cut down a lot of the trees that were here originally. The first owner of the property was the president of the Tropical Fruit Society here and planted so many fruit trees it was unmanageable and dangerous to the dogs since they eat it when I'm not looking. Some also died from lack of sun as other trees grew, some of the better ones too unfortunately. There used to be Mango, Lychee, Longan, Starfruit, Jackfruit, Cherimoya (custard fruit), two types of Avocado, Pumalo (huge grapefruit), Key lime, Calamondin and Blood Orange!. I still have Mango, Lychee, Longan and Blood Orange and Calamondin.
