First Gig With My New J35

I had a nice first show last night with the new J35. I went straight to the sound board, and only using a mike in the past with the Martin D18V I had, I can't say I was overly pleased with what I was hearing out of the monitor. A little bright and quacky. After the show though, I had quite a few people come up to me and say how good the guitar sounded. Much more definition then the past. So, maybe I just had a bad monitor mix. I may consider getting a DI box. The guitar played beautifully, with no hand cramping I was experiencing with the Martin. So, all is well there. Very happy with this guitar.

You may find a better impedence match using a DI into the mixer. I have a Mackie that has a Hi-Z switch on one channel to accomodate a guitar pickup without using a DI box - but if that switch isn't engaged it sounds like mud.
