What's not to like ? I feel bad that my Martins get so little playing time anymore, I routinely fall into the J-45, and can't help but pull out the JB for an hour a day. Couldn't even go 2 weeks without playing the SJ with the sketchy bride plate, as a matter of fact took it to a 420 jam last night.

Got as far as Wade Hampton Miller then stopped.... similar response I've seen a hundred times from him, he's one of the AGF mafia with his little followers re-spouting his every word. yes wade, no wade, three Martin bags full wade....

Thats pretty harsh PM.

Wade Hampton is actually one of the very few AGFers that really seems to know what he's talking about without any particular bias (with the exception of his endorsement and ongoing referances to Pearce strings).

I always thought Wade's comments were of a high knowledge level, inteligent, comprehensive and at least for me about 90% of time made complete sense.

I think Wade is one of the good guys who puts a bit of experience and reason into the debate, with a sharp sense of humour also at times.

I've no real objection to Wade himself, like you say, among the upper echelons of the AGF he is one of the more balanced posters, but, as soon as wade jumps in, I know I'm going to see his post rehashed 20 times in the course of the thread by his opinion-minions, so I read Wade's post then usually not bother continuing... you know what I'm saying though, he is one of about 5-6 posters who's opinion is treated like it was carved in stone on a mountain top then delivered to the masses by way of a mountain climbing messenger... So harsh as it may seem, it is also fair from a different perspective.

Yeah, I know exactly what your point is PM. I guess the good thing is that if the sheep want to follow the shepherd, at least this is one shepherd that will lead them in the right direction. To be honest, he's the only one of that group of five or six 'board members' whos' opinions I care for.

I am sorry but I really don't give a flying flip what somebody else thinks of this guitar or that. Way too many experts out there - a good number of whom I suspect have never been closer to the guitar they are offering an opinion on than the pages of a Sweetwater catalog. Others would not know a good guitar from a can of tuna. How can you explain that everybody who buys a 1970s Gibson seems to have somehow managed to get one of the rumored to exist few that does not sound like it is stuffed with old t-shirts.

But hey I am no better. I will leave the Gibsons at home and walk out the door with a Silvertone. Probably has less to do with sound than the fact I am a reverse snob.

Wade Miller Is a great guy I've talked to him personally.

Very knowledgable and he sold me one of the best gibsons I've had. I do agree people follow him but its for good reason. He doesn't talk bullshit he says the facts. It's never an opinion. But pm I see your point as well but it's rarely an opinion from wade he usually just states facts

The majority of us are on multiple forums. Opinions are like the proverbial body part.......we all got 'em! That said, it's good to have a specific forum dedicated to your particular brand(s) of choice. The info I get on this forum isn't found on others- for that reason! No need to bad mouth others...we're all playing the same basic instrument. J.D.

Wasnt having a go at Wade, more the twenty rehashesrs that will follow a post. Again, among the 5-6 posters who's posts get respouted time & time again he's much more balanced. Most would do well to remember that even within a knowledgable post there will be a huge amount of opinion involved. ..and when it comes to opinion the one you disagree with most on any page is just as valid or valuable as yer own.

I agree with ParlourMan. It's nothing personal or even directly connected to Wade himself. He seems like a pretty decent guy. However, the AGF has a swarm of mindless followers who simply "follow the leader." There are a lot of good people over there, but they're heavily out-numbered.

But isnt it fun to go against the tide on the AGF and shake up a few of the ol' boys ...
