Just played my friend's new SJ TV and loved it! Couple of things I noted...

 

The 'cali girl' case is gorgeous and VERY heavy.

 

I thought for sure the guitar was going to be a tonne weight - but no, it's as light as a feather! (compared to a Martin HD28 and a J45 Custom)

 

It has an orange label but not marked as a TV.

 

No serial no. stamped on the headstock either (it is on the label though). Is that unusual?

 

Pickguard aligned perfectly to the inner rosette.

My SCSJ has no serial # on the headstock. I was told that's a recent change. Mine was new a few months ago. My AJ does have the serial # on the headstock.

 

I bought a TV case used from a member here. Yes it is very heavy! That's why it was being sold.

Glad you liked the SJ TV! Mine was made about 100 days ago and the serial number is stamped on the neck block and is on the orange label as well. Yes, the Cali Girl case is pretty heavy, which is good because my Norwegian Forest Cat has taken a liking to laying on top of it or on the top of it's side and it does not wobble at all.

If only they were both mine! Of course when my wife saw the two together she said 'what's the difference, they both look the same to me' lol. One reason why my next guitar needs to be a bird - easier to justify another if it looks different!
