rocketman Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 A friend of mine told me to do this. I googled myself and then looked at the images. The first 10 or so were pictures of me. Then I saw some from my website and from colleagues. Then pictures of my books and NASA stuff. But then it gets a bit strange. I see pictures of people who I don't know at all. There is a picture of a mailbox. There are also pictures that I can't even begin to explain (e.g., political stuff that has nothing to do with my views). Give it a try. You'll be surprised at what's "connected" to you.
Rabs Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 No picture of me under my real name even though I am on the Internet Movie Database :) Due to my involvement in games.... HOWEVER... try googling your user names on web sites.. Now that is interesting (and a bit shocking) ;)
krock Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 An image search just revealed the things I'd liked on the app "fancy". I also did a username search, apparently K-ROCK is a radio station
tazzboy Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I'd be surprise if there is any pictures of the real me on the net.
Riffster Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Apparently an MTV dancer has my same name, no pics of me in the first few pages. I quit looking.
milod Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Well... there's pix of me and pix I've had published various times... Interesting. m
kaleb Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Aside from pictures of Alec Baldwin, various stuff I have commented on and or have under my name (including my avatar here), most of it being KISS-related. And the first thing was a video of "Voodoo Chile" from one of my shows that was posted on Facebook...
Izzy Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I did what Krock suggested and oh my word... anime, music vids, gore, girls....oh my word! That was fun!
Guest Farnsbarns Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 My name is not only uncommon but also, the one person I share it with is a famous Rugby Player. I still come above him in Google's image results! Once you get passed my old company logo and a couple if pics of me, including one that isn't me but was used on an ex employer's website as me because I objected to being identified, you get pages and pages of rugby pictures.
btoth76 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Hello! I did that too! Lots of soccer-related photos came up...not a picture of me (not surprisingly). http://www.google.com/search?q=T%C3%B3th%20Bence&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.45512109,d.bGE&biw=1251&bih=789&wrapid=tlif136670556992111&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=hu&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=oUV2UaHtIIG34ASznYHIDw Cheers... Bence
btoth76 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 No this can't be... I travel by train to work. After 5 years of doing so, you get to know people by the faces. Among the hits for the google search on my name, a picture came up of a person I see everyday: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=T%C3%B3th+Bence&um=1&sa=N&hl=hu&tbm=isch&tbnid=6Dyzmm0lIAIXgM:&imgrefurl=http://solymariferfikorus.blogspot.com/p/korustagok.html&docid=NSUODeJKV16PPM&imgurl=http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IcfUpe4PBcg/TsbUocfkRMI/AAAAAAAACT4/w3rGqTva1Ds/s1600/T%252525C3%252525B3th%252BBence%252Bbasszus.JPG&w=1024&h=768&ei=EUd2UaGVNajS4QSp9oGICQ&zoom=1&biw=1251&bih=789&iact=rc&page=2&tbnh=133&tbnw=198&start=32&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429,r:61,s:0,i:285&tx=133&ty=73 He has the same name as me, and plays bass... :D Cheers... Bence
pippy Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Pretty much nothing under my real name. One old address, my age and my profession. Out of the three log-in names I use on fora one brings up some of my youtube vids, another brings up my photobucket page and the third - the one I use here - brings up nothing to do with me. As Mel Blanc would say; "That's All, Folks!" I don't know whether to be pleased or disappointed.......... P.
kidblast Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 yea, so nothing unusual for me either, did come up with a picture of my sister however, it was one of the photos we had published in her obit when she passed away in December 2011. I did see that there was a professional boxer that had the name first/last name as me.
daveinspain Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Damn hate those mug shots poping up all the time...
zigzag Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I share the name of a very famous person. No way my picture will show up in a google image search.
Notes_Norton Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 There are a lot of Bob Nortons in the world, and although I'm on there, I share it with a lot of others. "Here's to you Bob!"
surfpup Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 My last name is an Italian town - Google returns a whole lot of Italians who share the name or live in the town.
DanvillRob Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 A LOT of photos.... some of them are actually me... mostly dog show photos.
saturn Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Apparently there's an Australian surfer who shares my name. Thankfully he diverts 99% of the results.
brc Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I did mine name, and found at least three other people with the same name, <1> dead, <1> with a criminal record, <1> going through a nasty divorce.
BobF_ Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 This isn't even close: http://fabwags.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Robert-Nkemdiche.jpg

BobF_ Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Ahh! You could be the Player of the Year. 59 tackles and five sacks - not bad. ;) Cheers... Bence Me and running are a really bad mix
