jc1funk
Inspired by the 1963 ES-335 Block Reissue, I changed the switch cap to amber and the knobs to silver-tops. Quite surprised by how much I like this... it's very 60s. Anyone else done similar? Aesthetic mods seem to be par for course with Strats, what about 335s? spitball
I do like the replacement knobs better, though your guitar looks great stock. I have a 2011 ES-345 (see other threads for my lauds thereof), and I'm kinda torn between wanting to preserve its shiny newness and wanting it to look more worn (e.g., I like the look of worn gold plating). I pick it up every day, so I guess the wear will come soon enough.

Versatile
I suffered from 'newness embarrassment' taking my triburst Dot out for the first few times... Prefer to keep all knobs etc standard as they look perfect TME...(to my eyes ) V
bobouz
I'll frequently change knobs, switch tips, and TRCs, but sometimes I leave them stock, too. All related to visual preferences. Of course, it's fun to tinker, and especially with easily reversible stuff.
Ken Rayba
I replaced the Volume and Tone Knobs with the silver tops(I think they are called Top Hot Knobs) too when I purchased my ebony ES-335 back in 05. I think it looks better, matching the pick ups and stop bar tailpiece. Of course having an ebony finish, black speed knobs just didn't do it for me.
