The Magic Hoof
The guitar is pretty quiet, but it starts buzzing when I touch the metal circles on the bridge pickup. It actually gives me buzz when I rest my palm on the strings. When I move my hand toward the pickup, without touching the guitar, the closer I get to it the more defined and loud the Star Wars light saber sound effect is. I guess I can try lowering the pickup height but I'm not sure that will cure it. The buzzing isn't TOO bad, it's bearable, but just wanted to check and see if there's something amiss. cjsinla
The stock pickups. Not sure which model you have. Are they P90's or hum buckers?

vexorgtr
If you have an older tube amp, it's possible the the caps are failing and it's sending current BACK into your guitar.
outtahere
Did you try another lead or another amp? Sounds to my like reversed hot and ground wires somewhere in the chain. Could be another Gibson QC fail though.
Twiz
First thing I'd do would be to make sure the amp is plugged into a good surge protector, or power conditioner. I bet you thought of this already, but try another guitar through the amp and see if it still makes the buzz sound. Your V pickups are higher output, so there's a chance the amp was buzzing before, but you just couldn't hear it as easily if you used a different guitar. Doing this will help you determine if it's the amp or the guitar. Next, I would check the back of your amp to see if there is a ground switch. There should be symbols like + 0 - next to it. You may be able to change the position of that switch and get the buzz to quiet down. If you determine it's not the amp, but the guitar, take it to a tech, and have them check the wiring. -Especially the grounding. Good luck! The Magic Hoof
The guitar is brand new so I doubt there's a ground issue. I shielded my V and while that took place I looked at the wiring. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. My EMGs don't do this however.
The Magic Hoof
I think I noticed it being only the front pickup, not the back one. By front and back, I mean the 2 coils. When I touch the front one it gives a buzz, but not the back.
The Magic Hoof
Actually, it's the entire thing. If I touch the side of it where that little piece of fabric is, I get some pretty bad buzz. Is that normal? If not, what's the problem and what should I do to fix it?

It should not buzz when you touch it. If the other pickup is quiet, it may be that it needs to be looked at by a pro, might need to be fixed or replaced. Cú Chulainn
if it buzzes when you touch the pickup, than IT IS a grounding issue.
