bigdaddyweed
How do you get the 9 volt battery holder for an LR Baggs under saddle pickup to stay in one place?? A few years ago, I put this pickup (love the sound by the way) in my old Yamaha, per the instructions, and now the battery lays in the bottom, where ever it wants to, and slides around. Earlier this year, I put one in my EPI Mstrblt., and same thing. Then recently, I got a new J-45 with the under saddle PU in it, and, same thing. It's currently at the Gibson dealer getting set up, maybe they'll fix that while it's there. So, anyone have this problem? Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.........weedman
jefleppard
most come with velcro fasteners that you attach to the neck block and the battery holder. if you dont have these fasteners, they can be bought at any hardware/craft store. attach a small piece to the back of the battery holder and put its mate piece on the neck block. most velcro has its own adhesive w/peel-off paper over it. if not, glue it yourself with any kind of all-purpose epoxy. John Lee Walker
Exactly what my tech did when he installed my custom system in my SJ200 MC. Two-sided hook and loop strips to hold the battery in place. Works great. He also used the adhesive coax fasteners inside to harness unslightly wires to my pots and pickups to make it all nice and tidy.
guitarstrummer
On factory installs, the battery will either be in a metal clip or a cloth pouch. The cloth pouches are held in place with Velcro. Some of the original adhesive on the Velcro has a tendency to weaken. This could be caused by a number of reasons (shipping movement, weather, etc.). I have replaced most of mine with Industrial Strength Velcro and have not had a problem since. The key is to allow it to set up for 24 hours (without the battery in the pouch), as per the instructions on the Velcro.
