Izzwardo
I have been wanting a LP Special with the P90's in Gloss TV Yellow but have had a hard time finding one until Friday. I know I paid a tad on the high side but sometimes you have to that to get what you want. I noticed that the volume/tone knobs were not the usual ones you see on these specials and I asked the original owner about them and if they have been replaced and he told me that everything is original on the guitar. Ok. Also in his description he said it is a reissue but I do not think it is. Anyway, I will be getting the guitar in about a week and I am very excited! cjsinla
If it was a reissue, it probably wouldn't have the tune-a-matic on it. I don't believe any of the original 50's Juniors had any such bridge.
Izzwardo
Yeah that's what I thought as well. Its still going to be sweet guitar to have in the arsenal. On the old-style TV Yellow models, the wood grain is visible. Can you see the grain through the finish?
pippy
Nice guitar! Stating the obvious I know but for one thing, if it was a re-issue, it wouldn't have a Gibson USA serial number.... P.

Izzwardo
I just wanted something different especially with the P90's. My LP Standard has the BB pro pickups and the SG has the humbuckers as well so this will be a nice change to play with. I absolutely love the TV Yellow though. I had a 59 Les paul Jr double cut away in cherry with a sweet P90 in it about 15 years ago and I regret getting rid of it ever since. I know this is not the same but close enough for me. I have heard nothing but good about these specials so I am super pumped to get it.

Right, cherry looked black, and white probably glared horribly. The yellow would show up on TV as white.
Macaholic
Love these in TV yellow, but I like the keystone shape kluson tuners better than the little white round tuners. They're too small and give the guitar the look of a kids guitar.
