How did I do? Find Your Bone

Cheers,

Lu :)

Well, I listened all the way through and that is high praise from me I can tell you!

Unusual in its heavy use of delay - maybe just a little too much - but again, that is the style of the piece. I liked your singing and the guitar work but I felt that something was missing - maybe a "bridge" as a break style away from the dominant echo - not sure - it is your music after all.

But well done overall!

Hi Pin, Thanks for listening and your comments. I used a backing track for the piece and sang and played guitar over it, so adding a bridge would require a redo of the whole song. Glad I got you through to the end of the song lol [thumbup]

Well, mainly it was 'kin brilliant. Like pin said, if there was any criticism at all it would be to add a bridge, maybe in another key, or something to give it ebb and flow. Frankly though, I wish I had that talent. Did I mention that it was bloody good?

Hi Farnsbarns, Thanks for listening and your very kind comments. A key change always works wonders don't it? Shame I never use em lol.. but there's always a first time I guess :)

Hey,thats got a clean, tight mix on it.Only thing I "hear" x-tra in it would be some great gospel female style singers doing some backup vocals in key spots, just to have em' jump out at ya when the tune is rollin by,other than that, its radio ready!

Gee, that was pretty damn good. Your good riffin' sometimes competed with your good vocal, which is a no-no, but as I say, both were good! Instead of a bridge, you might have just used a keyboard solo instead of your second guitar solo (said the keyboardist).

Hi and thanks for your encouraging comments 10K-DB. Great suggestion but we don't have that many great female gospel singers here in Oz that I know of anyways. But hey if you're in Sydney and wanna sing backing give me a post! [thumbup]

HI Cougar, Many thanks for your inspiring comments. Seems I better get me a band together and just jam out the song!( said the jammer) LOL

I liked it. Very soulful! Being a pianist first I'd love to do a solo on it, but I'd actually suggest a nice tenor sax solo instead.

Hi rocketman, Many thanks for your generous comments. Sax solos just can't be beat when played well. I do try to play sax solos in some of my instrumentals on keyboards, but you cant beat the real thing. I need a band! LOL

It's great! Congratulations! [thumbup]

Just one suggestion - if You don't mind: I would put the arpeggiated rhythm figure further into the background. It's too out in the front, takes away all the focus. Also I would do the opposite to the lead guitar - it needs to be enhanced.

The composition is perfect! Singing is first class.

It's just the mix, somehow assymetric. Listen to it through headphones, it's unbalanced somehow.

Cheers... Bence
