Undoing a mistake I made as a teenager... Tell me about your pickups!

I've got an '01 Les Paul Studio I've had since I was very young, it was my first nice guitar. Well, after three years of me owning it, something came loose in the pickups. So I had to buy new ones. Well, instead of buying something reasonable, being a Zakk Wylde fan, you know what I did....

...And so now I have an 81/85 set of EMGs and also the pots that come with them in my Gibby. :-k Luckily, I did do the wiring myself, and I still have the original Gibson pots!! :-k So: here is the deal... I'm replacing them with real pickups.

So far, I want a P94R, in the Neck position ( humbucker sized P90). I haven't decided what I want in the bridge! Tell me what you have and why! I like tonal clarity, and I really like to "feel" the notes I play, something you wouldn't get out of an EMG.

Here's my pups... In my VM Studio, I have Burstbucker Pros, very clean, when they're dirty, they bite, and if I roll off the treble just right and dial the Eq. in on my amp and pedal I get almost a P-90 sound. Now as for the EMG's not everyone can pull them off right. I have the same set, you just got to know how to dial everything in, cause EMG's are hotter pickups than regular Gibson pups. But yeah, if you're going for clarity, a BB Pro will do it for you.

I'm making some changes in my LP and for the past 28 or so years I've had a DiMarzio Dual Sound in the Bridge. I'm going to replace it with a DiMarzio Virtual Hot PAF - they have discontinued that model however. Once I'm up and running I can comment on that one. Oh and I have a DiMarzio Air Classic in the neck position.
