charlie brown
"The Yardbirds," in general, were another one of my favorite bands. I was fortunate enough, to get to see them live, on several occasions... a couple of times, with both Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page in the band at the same time! Awesome!! charlie brown
Will you send me a lock of your hair? LOL...I haven't got enough left, to send, Rocky...sorry! It was an awesome time, though. It was back when venues had no "assigned" seating, so you could go right up to the stage (which is where you'd find me, at ALL concerts, back then), and I was no more than 5 feet away (sometimes, less) from my "hero" players, at that time. I've mentioned this, on this forum before...but, at one concert, we actually got to help "Ten Years After" set up, and sit about "chatting" (when "chatting" meant "face to face" conversations)! Their "warm up act" was Procol Harum! That too, was awesome! CB
charlie brown
At one concert, at The Cotillion Ballroom (Wichita, Kansas) we were right up at the front of the stage, when Jim McCarty passed out, (from "exhaustion") on his drum kit! A local (Wichita) band's drummer, came forward, and finished the concert, with The Yardbirds! How COOL would that have been??! CB
