michaelnel
What animal does the Tusq come from??? It comes from the Nauga. They use the hides for auto upholstery.

PickitPaul
Are you going to use the pickup regularly or just use acoustically? Because the bone saddle is sitting on top of that ribbon of cloth, as apposed to the bone on just the rosewood saddle slot it will sound different. It also makes the saddle sit higher in the slot, if you take out the ribbon your saddle might be too low.

MR GIBS
However I did not try pairing the bone saddle with the plastic pins. I tryed this combination and did not like the sound. I also changed the tusk sddle&nut and the plastic pins with bone parts on my J35. I don't care about the fact that tusk saddle is better for the undersaddle pickup, because I changed this L.R.Baggs Element too. Installed a K&K Triniti Mini system in my J35 now. I don't like to have "things" under my guitar saddles (like piezzos). Just the bone in the bridge wood slot.

MR GIBS
Personally I can't wait to dump the Element and install a K&K or JJB.
