btoth76
Hello All! I just wanted to share my experience with You. Since I bought my LPR in February, I was looking for Shure impedance matching transformer. Ok, You would say, why did it so long to get one? Even tough, many local companies were advertising it, nobody had any in stock, nor they were willing to order just one for me. Ebay? Fine, but the shipping/import tax costs much more than the item itself! So, I have found this company in UK, called Canford. They didn't had it in stock either, but very quickly got one from the US, and sent me via UPS. The total cost with delivery wasn't exceeding what it would have costed locally - if anyone could sell me one! I must say, I love to deal with people in the UK. What a great attitude they have! Even because of the purchase of an inexpensive, tiny item, they would send nice, polite e-mails about the status of delivery... That's great! Here they are. They have fantastic products! Worth checking out: http://www.canford.co.uk/. Probably the next thing I'll buy from them is the Shure X2U, which seems to be an exiting gadget. Previously, I had a great experience with another British company. They also deserve to be mentioned again: The Guitar Repair Workshop in Manchester. http://theguitarrepairworkshop.com/ So, people in UK, You are great! :) Cheers... pippy
You just got lucky..... Kidding. Nice to hear you had a good experience, Bence. It's always easier to say 'No' than make an effort so props to them for doing so and also to you for giving them some exposure. Good, helpful attitude and correspondence skills like Canford showed should find itself rewarded. I'll check out their stuff now they have received such a good review! P. If a company has the great attitude and services, it has to be shared with others. Especially, because it's not so common these days - as I see. In my experience UK is a good exception, but at other locations - many times - purchasing something is a struggle. Cheers... Bence
Pin
It is always good to read of good service (how it should be) and even better when it is British companies! How do you find that Les Paul Recording to play Bence? Those guitars are so unsual and comparatively rare that I can only see their value going up and up over time. They are rare, but that won't necessarily make them pricey. I think many players still look at it as something from outer space. Anyways, it's great! The tonal variations are so wide, it's like having an LP that has '57 Classics, and Burstbuckers at same time. Then, with a flick of a switch it morphs into a Strat or Tele. Or into an electro-acoustic. I have readed that many people who had such a guitar, called it the ultimate Les Paul. Very much likely it is. It's heavy, and I really like the neck-profile: it's thin at the volute and becomes very thick at the joint - just where You really need to hold on to the neck for quick lead playing. I am at work right now, with the impedance-matching device being delivered here in morning...I can't wait till the end of the working day, to run home and try the guitar in the Low-Z mode for the first time. I am very curious. Cheers... Bence
