saturn
It seems most everyone here is aware of the great show "Live From Daryl's House". One of my favorite moments is this one from Todd Rundgren's house in Hawaii. It's kind of raw, but reminds me of something Steely Dan would do. Especially at the solo around 1:40. BTW, does anyone know what time signature this thing is in? Geeze.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys2gq6w4XDM
ZenKen
IMO you could post any of the songs from either of the Rundgren episodes.
pippy
BTW, does anyone know what time signature this thing is in? Geeze.. Goodness knows I'm crap on theory an' stuff but if you are meaning the verse after the 3/4 intro there's one less beat in the first section of each verse (so something like from 7/8 first part then into 4/4?). Now, if it was woodworking it would be 15/16" (Imperial)... Verse in regular 4/4? As I say. I'm crap at the theory and terminology thingy... P. cookieman15061
The 2 shows with Todd and the one with Joe Walsh are my favorites but the one with Smokey Robinson was pretty sweet too. That being said the episode 30 tribute to T-bone was something special.
saturn
Here's another good one with some great bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoXxdObGKuI It's funny, I used to HATE this song as a teenager and they played it on MTV constantly. Seeing them do it live gave me a new appreciation for it though. Gotta find a good one with T-Bone. I haven't looked up that drummer yet, but he is really "in the pocket". surfpup
... there's one less beat in the first section of each verse (so something like from 7/8 first part Seems right. The 7th beat seems to become the 1, so that makes sense. Cool tune regardless. Amazing house too!
