Water Rat 7
That is actually one of his many 60s Gibson Trini Lopez guitars. There were 2 different Trini models, a "custom" that was basically a Barney Kessel w/ a Trini tailpiece and the Trini STD which was a a 335 w/ the diamond "F" holes, tailpiece and the Firebird head stock. This looks like one of his pelham blue std Trini's. He used them as the basis for his signature model. The Trini's have a tail piece and a pick guard while the DG's do not. Supposedly every Foo Fighter song is recorded w/ him playing one of his Trini's. You can find cherry red STD Trini's all over the web for way too much now and I have seen only 2 used pelham models for sale in the last 5 yrs and each one was way over $10K now that Mr. Grohl has made them so popular . It would be a great find if you could snag a blue one somewhere.
