Hairy Dave
It looks like someone has spray painted that 'burst' on with a garden hose. Bring back PFox ;)
Jalex
Looks like someone practised their sunburst technique on this one, looks terrible.
EuroAussie
Looks like someone practised their sunburst technique on this one, looks terrible. Yeah, it looks like a Martin sunburst standard.
blindboygrunt
surely thats not a proper gibson ? or a poor refinish ?
j45nick
surely thats not a proper gibson ? or a poor refinish ? Don't know about that. I've seen some pretty ugly examples from the 1970's, but this might take the cake.

jazzpunk67
Is the heal even correct for a Gibson? I've played a bunch of post 70 j-45s. All sounded like a box. Very choked. I don't remember the heal being like this. I notice the bridge is belly down. My 67 SJ has belly up. There's a 68-69 SJ on eBay now. It's got belly down bridge. zombywoof
I have seen enough of them and that looks like a 1970s factory finish to me.
retrorod
Personal opinion, of course, but I don,t like the looks of the sunburst top. Original or not....hard to say? Not the best of eras! I say take it on a "play it before ya Buy it" basis....even if it sells reasonably cheap! Just my two-shillings worth
Yorick
Yep, one of Norlin's greatest hits, including the 3-screw truss rod cover. Pass.
