Sir Ricardo
. I saw this guitar. Obviously the bidders knew what it was, but I don't. Any thoughts as to model and approximate year? link > http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-GIBSON-ACOUSTIC-GUITAR-/321125421422?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D321125421422%26_rdc%3D1&nma=true&si=z5OtsJkooLXyXsx2m9WvBAKO3gE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Dave F
I spoke to the pawnshop owner who was not into guitars. He said if he made his $75 back out of it he would be happy
tvguit
I think the high bidder got hosed. You could tell by the top warpage and general condition that it needs braces reglued, bridge reglued, pickguard, bridge plate, possible neck set, frets, etc. After the shipping and all the repairs he would have about $6500 in it. Retail on a good hog top banner is 6k or so. Why not just get a good hog top banner with no surprises from a reputable dealer? I'll guess that the high bidder didn't see it had a hog top? I don't know.
