hey guys, I bought one of these interesting magazines online tonight. I had been keeping a close eye out for cheaper ones because some are listed for way too much money. One came up tonight and as soon as it did, I asked the guy if he would go lower and he did. The problems are.....it's 99% written in Japanese and it will probably take a month to get. <_< It's actually coming from Japan.

I couldn't resist though, it has almost 135 pages of beautiful color photos of vintage Gibsons [love] .

Gibson seriously has to put out a new book with full color pages. I bought a book about the history of Martin guitars a few years ago and it really is an amazing book with tons of great photos(all color).

yeah, it's supposed to be full color pictures. Believe me, I did not pay that price, I never would. Like I said, I seen a few of these on eBay and they are all $90 or more which is ridiculous. I talked the guy down to a pretty decent price. The one I got lucky enough to come across was a starting price of $60, so I just gave a shot and emailed the guy to see if he would go cheaper and luckily for me he did. I have the Fabulous flatops as well and I agree, it is very disappointing. It has some great info but the lack of color pictures really sucks.

hey guys, I just wanted to give an update on this book/magazine. I received it yesterday, it took a little less than a month to get from Japan. I have to be honest, this book/magazine is friggin awesome. It has 132 pages of high gloss photos that are absolutely beautiful. It covers almost if not all of Gibsons acoustics from the beginnings until now. It has pictures of Dylan,Lennon, N. Young, James Taylor, Jagger and more playing Gibson acoustics. A few things here and there are in English but the majority is in Japanese. This does not take away from the book at all. It truly is a fantastic book/magazine. I still do not understand why Gibson USA does not do something like this in the States and Europe. This would sell like hot cakes without a doubt. If I can, I will try and post some pictures later to give a better idea.
