My Uncle left me this guitar. I didn't even know he owned one, much less played one. It has no identifying marks, no serial number, no tags or labels on the inside. Can anyone give me some idea how old it is and what model it might be? I don't want to do anything to it until I know I'm not ruining a real old axe. Thanks!

Should be an LG....likely between 1948 because of block headstock and 1954 because of having 19 frets....if it is x-braced LG2...ladder braced makes it an LG1..... The LG2 is the more favored model by most.....either way looks like a nice guitar....is there a serial number stamped on the neck block on the inside of the guitar?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. The serial number is really faded but it looks like 907787. I'm pretty sure about the first four numbers (9077) and not so sure about the last two. I'm going to take it to a luthier and see if he can give me any clues too. Thanks for your help!
