Buxom
It's strange. Since I've owned it for the past couple months, I've noticed that my playing has changed completely. I'm playing more complex things now. I guess it's because it's the right guitar? I guess it changed my life as a player.
Blueblooded
That's cool. I believe a new guitar, or the right guitar, can make you want to play more and you just start to improve and evolve with more time spent with the instrument.
Buxom
Well, it's nowhere near new In fact, it needs a refret within the next year or two. It just plays so well still, and it's just so worn in. It fits me well, and it just plain sounds damn good.
kaleb
I play different on Fender style guitars than I do on Gibson style guitars.
bonzoboy
I can see what you mean about the Guild guitars making you play better. My '74 S-100 NB is just s deadly guitar and its pickups are super hot-hotter than the hottest overwound Gibson or PRS humbuckers. When I pick up my Guild I just have to turn up the amp to pain threshold and wail away.It doesn't make me play better as such but it inspires me to really raunch out on it.It's not surprising that Bernado Rico used Guild humbuckers in his earliest B.C. Riches until he brokered a deal with DiMarzio.
