NGD.....just got to show off my pride and joy!!

She's beautiful to look at but much better to play....so, so, sweet the sound.

Hope people like her as much as I, and what an improvement on the "wreck" I last posted, for those of you who remember.

Wow, that fake burst you were claiming to be real before was a real mess, this looks more like it could be the real deal. Any chance of pics larger than postage stamps? I'd live to take a good look.

Yup.

We remember.

We remember the fake - not "wreck" - you posted last time; the subsequent arguments and the attitude you adopted when you were called out.

We also remember this from your introductory post;

"I am embarking on a life-long ambition to renovate and build guitars. So far, I am making slow progress with the most difficult area being the finishing.......it's hard getting this right!!"

With your known track record for showing several faked parts and, of course, that infamous '58 'Burst I'm sure you can understand the scepticism you have encountered.

If you'd really like to show off your pride and joy could you post some snaps around 28cm wide/high @ 72dpi?

Close-ups would be good; especially the peghead, the weather-checking on both front and back and inside the control cavity.

Once again, for the time being, you have the benefit of the doubt as to whether the G-T is genuine or fake.

Hopefully this time it's the real deal and we can all be happy for you.

Would be great to adjust the case to look a bit more period-correct, though... This is closer to an early 60s type hardcase. The pressed Gibson logo shouldn`t be placed below the handle - just a hint ;).

Serial number font looks funny. Why is the only front view picture blurry? Here we go again....

If anyone is remotely interested here's the one posted as compared with a real one from a known, genuine, '55 ( one number altered for security);

Yeah about the case, but I'm fine with later cases on old guitars, that happened a lot and has happened to me the original case gets plonked in some way.

It's the headstock and all headstock all day long. The join isn't right, the machines aren't right, they are even placed wrong. It's the paint, not green enough for all that checking and the attention paid to getting the paint to do that. All of the all gold guitars turned green, an unmistakeable ugly green that you can't hide in a photograph at all. If someone has an all gold goldtop and it ain't noticeably ugly green down that neck, well, I'll leave the conclusion to the reader.

Again dude, I don't know what the eff yer deal is, it is just weird.

Hello Rct!

Yes, You're right with the suspicious points - I just didn't bother to talk about the guitar itself... :D

Cheers... Bence
