AS90 thanks i'm not sure what to look for without taking the neck pickup out. I remember from a bit of research that if the tenon goes to about the middle of the pickup route or further then it's a long one. I am not sure this is totally correct. I heard they are better for greater sustain. Another thing is the spec sheet says the pickups in the 62' reissue are 59 reissues. I never heard of those pickups. Have any of you? Do we need a photo host to post a picture here?

Maybe I can post the link to the spec sheet I seen nothing about the Tenon or neck carve. I heard the 61's are thinner than the standard neck carves I never had the pleasure to try one yet is why ask. I also seen someone selling a reissue on ebay claiming it had a long neck tenon which is more desirable I would think.

OH just figured out how to post a link photo anyways.

Still don't know how to post a photo of saved photos without a host. I guess I will have to sign back up with imagehost for that. I plan on getting an SG-62 soon. Just curious about it I guess and excited at the same time. By the way shweeet looking axe dig the blue.

Hey' date=' AS90-

How many did Gibson make of those? I saw one on eBay that looked a bit beat up a couple weeks back and I'm wondering how hard it'd be to find another.[/quote']

They only made 200 for the US market and 50 for export. They do pop up every now and then so keep an eye out on ebay.

wheelman: Only the VOS and Historic SG's have long tenons, I had an Orville by Gibson LP with a long tenon and there was no noticable difference. The neck joint on my '61 was thinner than my '62.

JimeJ thanks I think I may just reset my old account with imageshack plus I got old photos on there. I will see I got to see how much crap they want to invade first on my computer. I got my 62 and it's a smoker! I love it I think it's the one. It needs a bit of care though a tad bit of fret buzz on every string on the 17th fret. Seems wierd it's nowhere else. That neck just rips I love it. It's so comfortable to play and it being so light I just never want to stop playing it.
