Effects of string gauge change

I have been using .052-.011's for a while once I started using D standard tuning. The thickness helps keep the tension and keeps the neck for bowing. But I am going to play with a different band for a few shows and I thinking of going back to .046 gauge, but I was wondering if the change in string gauge will effect the neck at all. I doubt it since using the .052's at a low tuning is the same kind of tension as the.046's. But I was wondering has encountered a similar issue before.

Every guitar is a little different. Even though it's not a drastic changeup in gauge, the guitar might need to be re-intonated & truss adjusted. Or it might feel, play, & sound just fine to you. You'll know after a week if things seem slightly off-kilter. The neck won't fall off though.
