august_reader Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I just bought my first "electric" guitar, the SJ-200 Modern Classic. Where the end pin is on all my other guitars is now the jack for the electronics. I cant find a strap that fits over this plug the way all my other straps fit over the end pin. BTW, my first "real" guitar was a Gibson LGO my Dad bought me in 1966. I've been playing Martins for a lot of years, but put them all away because I really love my new Gibson.
wonderful remark Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 First of all, Congrats on your new guitar!! maybe you might have to adjust the strap hole to your end pin size. I like the look of this!!
august_reader Posted December 20, 2008 Author Posted December 20, 2008 Thanks, and nice pic. I found another thread that deals with just this topic. Thanks.
Jayla Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Hello August, Don't know which thread you found, but here are a couple recent ones: http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=9977 http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=10195 There are probably more. What kind of strap are you looking for?
ballcorner Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 In a previous thread someone recommended these, so I bought one and loved it so much I ordered ten more. This is the best solution as it allows you to use any strap without modifying it - so you can still use the strap on a guitar with a regular pin.
august_reader Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 As it turns out, the Old Towne Pickin Parlor just up the street (a ways) here in the Denver area carries them. I'm going to fight traffic after work tomorrow to drive up and get one. Thanks for the recommendation.
