markwillplay
does anyone know if you can get tours of the Gibson place in Bozeman? We will be flying in next week and I would love to see it.
duluthdan
I think they only offer plant tours on a specific day of the week. Contact them, (406.587.4117) I think its like only Thursdays or something, if at all. There is no showroom, no museum, nothing really outside the tour. Also make sure to budget a couple of hours to visit Music Villa and play a few dozen guitars.
markwillplay
where is Music Villa? I will be staying in Gardner but will not be too far from Bozeman and would love to go to a shop that has a ton of high end guitars (as always).

Hogeye
where is Music Villa? I will be staying in Gardner but will not be too far from Bozeman and would love to go to a shop that has a ton of high end guitars (as always). When you fly into Bozeman you will be 8 miles West of Bozeman when you land. When you leave the airport you will come to Frontage Road. Just turn left on Frontage Road and it takes you right to Bozeman. Lots of signs everywhere. Stay on Frontage road and it will turn into North 7th and it will cross the interstate as you come into town and on your immediate right will be a huge sign that says Baxter Lane. That will take you to the Gibson plant. Call ahead as tours and schedules are sketchy at best. If you stay on North 7th and continue on you will travel 10 or so blocks and come to a red light. You can go either left or right. The cross street the light is on is Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and drive East thru town. It's a nice little town and has a lot of good places to eat. Music Villa is on the left side of Main Street and near the end. It's set back from the street a bit and has a small parking lot on front. If you stop at the last light on Main Street just look left and there it is. When you leave just get back on Main street and drive East for a half mile and you will get onto Interstate 90. It's a beautiful 25 mile drive to Livingston. Get off at the second exit and follow the signs and you will be in Paradise Valley. It's an amazing drive up the Yellowstone River to Gardiner. You're going to have the time of your life. The raft trip thru Yankee Jim Canyon is a wild ride indeed and the river is down a bit so you can fish as well. ksdaddy
And a walk through the residential area north of Main St and east of 7th is awesome. Some of the houses look like they've been preserved exactly as they were built in the 20s.
