jzero
Hello, I was hoping someone may be able to help me identify what size truss rod wrench I would need for my 1963 Gibson B45-12N please? Many thanks in advance.

Greentone
A thin walled 5/16" 1/4" drive socket wrench works great. I use a 3" extension to clear the headstock. Just remember (1) clockwise to remove up-bow, counter- to remove back bow; (2) 1/4 turn at a time, then play to let it settle in.
Greentone
Remember...the B45-12 was designed to be tuned to concert D, not E. one whole step below regular pitch. I guarantee that if you tune up to E you will bow the neck. You will break the rod trying to take all the bow out.
jzero
Thank you for all of your replies and advice on tunings. I also have a Taylor LKSM 12 so am used to keeping the 12's at C-C#. I might push the B45 up to a D and see how that goes. The guitar has been in storage for some time so I thought I would restring it and get it set up the best I can. Photo not the best but provides an idea. Thanks again
