MickFromMunhall
My co-worker's late father posessed this guitar in the 50's - 60's. It's been stored in a garage for at least 20 years (yikes!) I asked him to bring it to work so that I could look at it and perhaps identify it. As far as I can tell, it's a 1951 L-4. It's in pretty rough shape, and I was wondering if anyone thought that it would be worth refinishing.
Guest Farnsbarns
From what I can see it's not in bad shape. I would guess that refinishing it would hurt it's value.
jdgm
The owner should buy a bridge, doesn't have to be expensive, and string 'er up - see how she sounds. Truss rod might need a tweak. The pickguard has a pickup cutout - was there ever one? Nice guitar.
cjsinla
Doesn't even look like it needs refinishing.
Izzy
Maybe not the original pickguard? Doesn't look like it ever had a pup to me. Very cool, though.
Searcy
I can't see any need to refinish it. How is that neck and the bracing? NICE!
