Brick Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Hi, I tried a Gibson Les Paul Studio a while ago but found that neck a little too fat. I do not want to spend too much money on the guitar and thought that the studio could be a great deal, but as I have understood the studio is only available with this fat 50's neck. Do anyone here have experience of the neck of the Epiphone Les Paul Custom? How is the neck on that guitar compared to the Gibson Les Paul Studio? Is the neck on the Epiphone more like the 60's neck of the Gibson Les Paul? All comments regarding the necks of Les Paul guitars are welcome!!

HeadCase Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Axe, that Classic looks to be the fattest of the bunch. Do my eyes deceive me? I've never seen even a "fat-ish" neck on a Classic, only very slim. Brick, unless it's just not for you, I'd say give the fatter neck a chance. A lot of guys don't like 'em at first but after a while wouldn't play anything else. Good luck!
