Simonb
Hi, I have songwriter deluxe cutaway custom shop which on the whole is great but there is a design floor with the aura sound system, it distorts the sound. I have to play very gently or the aura sound card starts to vibrate inside and adds a reverb/chorus effect to the sound - which at times is pleasant but mostly annoying. Anyone know of any solutions to this? Thanks
Jeremy Morton
Hello, The Ellipse Aura does not have a sound Card in it. Like anything that is mounted inside of a guitar if it is not secured completely can vibrate inside the instrument. This can be a battery, any cables, Preamp or even an output jack. these c an work them selves slightly loose over time. If the battery is week the signal may also be distorted. If the sound is not right when it is plugged in onl? I would change the battery. If it is just acoustic? It would be worth while to locate the vibration that you are hearing and trying to get it to not move. Please PM me if you need help finding a luthier that might be able to help you with this issue. All the best Jeremy Morton
Simonb
It is not the battery, wires or jack but the factory fitted aura elipse system that is causing the vibration. Ihave checked it is seated properly, It is anoying that the problem should occur. I guess I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and if there any other solutions. sijink
I had similar problem with Aura Elipse before. The preamp/controller is attached magnetically to a metal base attached around the sound hole and the rattling was between those two. I used some blu-tack between the amp and the base and the rattling was gone. Hope that would help you.

I suspect the elipse system in my J-200 studio is doing the same thing, I'll try your blu-tac fix next string change.
