I had the essence of this song written years ago but yesterday and today, I totally rewrote the music to sound "sadder." Perhaps a bit of "a work in progress." Thanks for taking your time and I love the mention of Hollis Brown, that helps that my hero wrote such a dark song. I rerecorded the song in Bm instead of Cm and also changed the arrangement for the chorus. This new one is a better recording, sounds dang good, actually. Zoom H4n recorder. I wish I had not read b.b.g. comment first because that sort of steered my mind to Hollis Brown comparison (which I agree with btw). Very good voice, and a nice stark arrangement. I'm a fan.
