Jazzbone
I'm looking at a 1995 J-35 Limited Edition...run of 250. I think it's based on the pre-war model but would appreciate any info from the vast pool of collective knowledge on the forum Really nice looking burst and adi top...anyone have experience with this model? rar
I'm looking at a 1995 J-35 Limited Edition...run of 250. I think it's based on the pre-war model but would appreciate any info from the vast pool of collective knowledge on the forum Really nice looking burst and adi top...anyone have experience with this model? No personal experience, but maybe this will help. First, according to Fab Flat-Tops, the Limited Edition was only built in '96. There was a '95 J-35, but it wasn't the Limited Edition. (Hogeye can probably tell you more, including how many of the 250 actually got built.). Second, '95 was a year notorious for variable quality. The plant was still recovering from the big production ramp up for the Centennial in '94. Third, ... I guess there is no third. -- Bob R

JuanCarlosVejar
some info : In 1995 these were these editions made : John Walker J-35 reissue (sunburt, 250, limited edition) Kevin Kopp J-35 reissue (natural, not sure how many) here's a 95 in action : of the above guitar this was said : Mine is indeed built by John Walker but it's not from a Gibson reissue batch. I bought it through Gary Burnett of Bee-3 Vintage in Ashville NC. It was built to the specs of the '37 J-35 which is on the cover of the Gibson Fabulous Flattops book. Gary owns that guitar and had a few built to it's specs. It's essentially a '37 built in '95. Gibson's Custom Shop was separate from it's production line at that time. I don't know for sure but I don't believe it is now JC
