iwantatexan
I have been thinking of buying my first Gibson Acoustic. The 2013 J-35 I have played sounds very nice and is priced right. For the owners out there do still enjoy the guitar? Any pros/cons? Thanks.
meanstreak
I was in the same boat as you just a few weeks ago. I almost pulled the trigger on the J-35 a couple different times over the last few months but I decided to hold out and save a bit longer for a J-45. Glad I did, and I got mine brand new for a real steal. Just ask and good deals can be had. Nothing wrong with the J-35, as many here own one and love it, but I had always wanted a J-45 and it was my first Gibson so glad I made that decision! J-1854Me
Mine's nice and getting better with every passing week. I swapped out some new 'Bluegrass gauge' strings on it and it sounds better and bigger still. Fred
J.R.M.30!
Well I don't own a J-35 nor have I played one for that matter. I've played a guitar made out of cheaper mahogany called, nato. I can't say that I like the sound but with higher quality mahogany might be different. I think I'm still in the camp of cheap spruce (if there is such a thing) or basswood over mahogany (nato).
