floyd1090 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Hi I have a Gibson Robot 1st Edition model that I bought last December. Until two weeks ago I have not had to charge the guitar since I've had it. I have read the manual but is not working and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its a problem with the guitar. When I try to charge the guitar I first pull out the MCK but it blinks red on the dash symbol (I'm pretty sure that means it's dead), then I turn it to C and plug in the charger. The charger stays red while the MCK eventually just blinks green. I am using a short cable that I normally use to connect my pedals. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Dynadude Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Does it require a signal or speaker type cable to charge? Have you tried another power outlet? Some get wired incorrectly. ?????
Dynadude Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I read some of the info in the Gibson PDF manual. It seems like you need to connect the charger in a specific order of events. Have you checked to make sure you are doing them in the correct order?
floyd1090 Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 I've been pulling out the MCK, turning it to C, then plugging the plug in the wall, and then finally the guitar.
phil325 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 sounds pretty complicated to me a "non-robot" user lol...
Super24 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 sounds pretty complicated to me a "non-robot" user lol... Me too! Seems like there are too many things that can go wrong with those Robots.
