gotomsdos
Around a year back, I hunted a Ren's J-35 2011 Reissue (paper says 30s reissue). It's said it has 3 tonal bars (seems to be early 30s ?), scalloped, fat C shaped neck (so called baseball bat ?), It's said that pre-war J-35 has V neck, so fat C neck belongs to wartime. So I wonder if there is some guy who knows more of the stuff ? Deep down, this question is directly related to another as followed : Among my Ren's 2011 J-35 reissue and 1951-1954 vintage J-45, which sounds closer to Bob Dylan's 1962-1963 album J-45/50 ? If it's my Ren's J-35, I'll not buy 1951-1954 vintage J-45. Any inputs would be appreciated.
TM
Not sure what your question is. The original 30s J35 came in several configurations. Many were three unscalloped tone bars, they had two bars scalloped, and two unscalloped. The necks on the later guitars, 40/41 guitars can be rounded,,but not huge like a banner. The earlier guitars have a V. Terry
