Jeremy Morton
Wily, I use the venue every time I am performiing plugged in. For me it brings the amplified guitar to life a bit. I used the Para DI for nearly a decade and then moved on to the Venue this last year. It takes a 9 volt battery and does not run them down very quicky. in my opinion it is a must for any acoustic guitar players tool box. JM
GT Hurley
Wiley, My friend, the techno wizard, Jeremy Morton turned me on to one of these. :) I have played it now in two or three gigs. I admit I was skeptical at first, but after using it and being shown the benefits I am sold. I have one, and am learning how to use it. Bear in mind I have a AJ and a D28 with LR Baggs Anthem SL's in them, which makes them very compatible. I would contact Jeremy if you have any questions. I am still learning how to use it. onewilyfool
Thanks for the mini reviews guys, I think this might be a nice interfave between guitar and amp!!
texasdw
When I play out I'm mostly playing my McPherson, which has a Baggs undersaddle transducer. I run it through a Venue DI and it is a very nice set-up. Very "acoustic" sounding amplified tone. The DI definitely adds some sparkle and girth to the sound (...I know, I roll my eyes every time I see somebody trying to describe some subtle difference in acoustic tone - but try one and you'll see what I mean).
