PickitPaul
I have a early Bozeman '91 sitka / mahogany burst SJ45 - no banner, just a gold newer style Gibson Logo paint, no pearl inlay on headstock. No neck binding either. Wonderful deep sounding guitar on the bass. I did have for a while the SJ TV from 2007 with sitka, but it did not have the hollow kind of percussive deepness about the bass and mid that seem percussive sometimes. Could have developed over time, but could also be the way the '91 always sounded, even when newer, who knows. I never see these anywhere, was this model made for the market overseas? Just wondering if anyone here has one?
zombywoof
Gibsons does love mix and match features on their guitars. Bozeman turned out several variations of the SJ-45 from the the early through the late 1990s. I have seen them pop up for sale now. There was one up on eBay a little while back which I only noticed because the seller was in my old home town of Natchez, MS.
