Hi, guys out there!

I fingerpick.

I just first time strung my Ren's 2011 J-35 reissue with Gibson MasterBuilt phosphor bronze 012. They feel stiff, play lifeless, hard to play.

I'm a fingerpicking player, so what brand and model strings are better for my Ren's 2011 J-35 reissue to get Gibson J-35 sound out.

As guys here suggest, I used Thomastic infled spectrum 012 (austria made ?) and DR sunbeam 012. They play and sound fairly good.

What else is better for fingerpicking J-35 ?

1,

20/80 non-phosphor bronze (I never use this)?

2,

John Pearse (folk fingerstyle) (I never use this) ?

I recently bought a new Gibby Southern Jumbo. The dealer put on a set of 80/20 Elixirs before I took it hom; I did not like those. I think PBs in general sound better. Right now there is a set of D'Addario EJ16s (lights) - they are a great tried and true strings set.

Others to try are EJ19s and even Martin Lifespan PB lights.
