AXE® Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Looking at my Classic in the morning light, I see what I have never really noticed before. Two separate top joints equally spaced north an south of the tail piece. This thing has always been a bit of a freak, but now this? Some of you have seen it doesn't have the skinny neck and does not sound harsh as most would say a classic does. I've tried to get pictures that show the joints but, mmmm, nope they don't show up... It's that Gold Top of mine...
rd_artist Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 you can see the seams through the paint?, I know conventional wisdom would say that they would use a lesser grade top on a solid finsish and maybe even use a three piece top because it presumably wouldn't show through.
ckledzepplin Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 AXE you should know by know nothing is normal about you[-(
rocketman Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 AXE, I know you're "Somewhere Out There" so I was just wondering if it could be due to large humidity changes in your area? Western New York does a number on wood up here between humid summers and dry winters. I do have humidity control in my house which seems to be helping a lot.
