tcbonline
I asked this over at AGF but I thought I would post here too in case any of you had any inside info. Do you think there's a chance there will be a J-35 model released with no pickup system? Or perhaps a dealer might offer a custom version with no pickup? I love the J-35 (hard to be at that price point) but I'm just not a fan of electronics in my acoustics.
blindboygrunt
Would a shop not remove it for you if you were standing there with £1200 in your hand ?
ParlourMan
Strangely enough, if possible this would probably be more expensive (to order like that). The pickup is not really noticeable and it is not a heavy unit, probably easier to ignore it's there, if you can get onboard with that idea you could pay a tech/luthier to remove it for you. There really will be no sonic difference though, unless you have special ears that even dogs are jealous of.
chasAK
The 1934 Original Jumbo Reissue might be of interest. Joe M recently posted of his experience with one of these. I agree with PalourMan, ifyou can get past the idea of pickup and the guitar sounds great go for it. I don't play plugged in and do understand the purist aspect. I thought about removing the system off of my j45mc when I first got it, but I could not come up with enough reasons to justify it. Does the Fuller reissue have the pick up system? chasAK
